The Vetcove ID system is the only truly consolidated GL system in the veterinary market. One Vetcove ID points to all identical products, across distributors and manufacturers. If distributors are offering the same items, all of their SKUs are consolidated under one Vetcove ID, and if multiple manufacturers are producing the same products with different manufacturer IDs (a generic drug, for example), those items that traditionally have multiple unique IDs associated with them are all under one general heading.

All of this makes inventory and analysis significantly easier and more tractable. You don’t lose any of the granularity that you had before (you can still view which specific supplier SKU or manufacturer number was purchased), but data organized around Vetcove SKUs gives significantly more clarity into what was actually purchased and how it compares to past behavior.
